Here are some early character designs for Gideon.  While making these I would sit on the couch and my daughter Grace would sit at my feet.  I would do a couple of drawings and she would say, "no the nose is too big, ' or "he's too old."    She was a great help.   I filled a couple sketch books with drawings looking for the right character.  We wanted him to feel "ageless. " As a bonus- here is one Grace colored.  Enjoy!
